Description

A delicious combination of creamy burrata and fresh tomatoes served on crispy baguette, perfect as an appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 French baguette
  • 250g burrata cheese
  • 500g ripe tomatoes, diced
  • Fresh basil, chopped
  • Fresh oregano, chopped
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the baguette into 1–1.5 cm thick pieces and place on a baking sheet.
  2. Toast the baguette slices in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden and crispy (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Dice the tomatoes while the baguette is toasting and mix in a large bowl with olive oil, a pinch of salt, pepper, and the chopped herbs.
  4. Spread the burrata generously on each toasted baguette slice once they have cooled slightly.
  5. Add the prepared tomato mixture on top of the burrata, letting the juicy pieces contrast with the creamy texture.
  6. Garnish with additional herbs and serve immediately for the best taste.

Notes

Prepare the tomato mixture up to 2 hours in advance, and store it in the fridge for improved flavor.
